THE SUN TEMPLE KONARK
The sun temple
konark is located in Bhubaneswar – the capital of Odisha and it was built by
the King Langula Narasingha Deva by the help of the chief Craftsman Bisu Maharana .
The Sun
Temple konark is dedicated to the Lord Sun and the sun temple is the representation
of the moving Chariots of lord Sun /surya .
Wheels are
joined with the temple and each wheel have 8 spoke and every spoke has its own
importance . This temple represent the Odisha style of architecture .
The Sun temple
is coming under the UNESCO list . And it is recognised in 1984 by UNESCO.
LOCATION OF KONARK TEMPLE
– It is located in the Bhubaneswar city – the capital or the sports capital of India . it is 40 Km away from Puri and 10 km Away from the main city of Bhubaneswar .
The Konark temple is connected by bus , train and flight. The Nearby station is the Baramunda Station and Puri railway station . The Biju Pattnaik air port is the nearest air port to reach konark easily.

Hight of the konark temple is around 31 metre and huge stones are used to built
this temple .

temple was built by the King of ganga dynasty – langula narasingha dev .

Bisu Maharana who sacrifices his life in order to save the life of 1200 worker
and it set a great example for the dedication for other . The other name of
this temople was black pogoda . This temple is present near the coast line .
The temple made
up of stone and this temple is represent the figure of Hinduism and the
importance of Sun in the Hindu religion .
